Topographer / Surveyor

Main Responsibilities: Support mining operations in all production phases. Define quarry boundaries and monitor operational parameters. Support mining geology activities, including marking ore and waste envelopes, monitoring grooves, and overseeing geological preparation drillings. Monitor geological grid controls and coordinate with geomatics for shot meshing with reference data, pre-blast surface data, and post-blast surface data for each shot. Track the progress of extraction through surveys of all active quarries, providing weekly surface data for mining planning. Ensure monthly monitoring and topographic surveys of all sterile placements, producing surface data to track the implementation of drawings and stockpiles on the ROM pad. Conduct end-of-month surveys for all active quarries, reporting quantities of displaced rocks. Ensure the stability and monitoring of the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF). Periodically update the mining site plan. Manage infrastructure project activities. Monitor geological exploration projects. Supervise hydrogeological and geotechnical fieldwork in coordination with respective managers. Monitor environmental and occupational health and safety (SST) activities. Provide training to operators and technicians under supervision on industry best practices, adhering to company policies on safety and environmental standards. Adhere to hierarchical instructions. Facilitate effective communication among various stakeholders in the production process. Academic Background and Experience: Holder of an engineering degree with specialization in topography, backed by a minimum of 5 years of experience in an open-pit vein mine, particularly in gold mining, or any other disciplines that demonstrate competence and relevant experience in the context of open-pit gold mine operations.
