
Field Application Engineer Internship
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive Technical Application Engineer Intern to support our service
team within the automation industry. At the start of the internship, you would get
familiarized with Delta Electronics Industrial Automation products and functionality
principles. In this role, you will assist in troubleshooting automation systems, supporting
customer service operations, and contributing to the development and enhancement of
internal UI tools used by the service team. This internship provides practical exposure to
automation technologies, software tools, and real-world customer support workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
System Feature Development & Enhancement
- To develop, enhance, and maintain UI features for internal service tools (e.g., dashboards, troubleshooting interfaces, configuration utilities).
- Ensure UI/UX designs comply with the latest functional and usability requirements.
- Assist in conducting user feedback sessions, usability testing, and design iterations.
- Integrating necessary updates into existing systems.
- Document App. changes, version updates, and workflows.
- Assist with firmware/software updates and system performance checks.
- Support service ticket management.
- Update and maintain service databases and technical documentation.
- Provide feedback from service cases to improve product quality and documentation.
- Contribute to improving service tools, templates, dashboards, and workflows.
Technical Skills
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Ladder, ST, C/C++, Python).
- Experience or coursework in UI/UX development is a plus: Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue/Angular), UI prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP
- (preferred).
- Experience with debugging tools or test instruments is an advantage

Other Requirements
- Willingness to join occasional onsite technical activities (if required).
- English proficiency (Chinese is a plus)
- Enrolled in a university during the whole duration of the internship (6 months)
- Available to start in September 2026
