Job Description

The Manager, Franchise Economics is a newly established, high-impact role responsible for establishing and leading the franchisee financial intelligence capability across Authority Brands’ portfolio of 15+ franchise brands. Sitting within the Finance organization and reporting to the Director of FP&A, this role will own the processes, governance, and cross-functional coordination required to capture, standardize, and analyze franchisee P&L data, while partnering with FP&A analysts for recurring reporting and analytics support. T The role is equal parts technical, analytical, and strategic — requiring someone who can master system data, surface insights, and influence cross-functional partners to drive measurable improvements in franchisee financial health. Key Responsibilities: Financial Data Infrastructure & Aggregation Lead the implementation and ongoing management of financial statement aggregation technology to consolidate franchisee P&L data across brands. Oversee chart of accounts governance and financial mapping for franchisees spanning 15+ brands, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability. Partner with IT and operations teams to define data standards, intake processes, and system integrations that support reliable reporting. Partner with new franchisees during onboarding to ensure charts of accounts are established correctly and aligned to Authority Brands’ reporting and aggregation requirements. Benchmarking & Performance Analytics Develop and maintain a comprehensive benchmarking framework, establishing performance norms within and across franchise brands. Identify best practices from top-performing franchisees and surface systemic weak spots across the portfolio. Produce regular reporting packages that translate P&L data into actionable insights for Finance, Operations, and brand leadership. Franchisee Health Monitoring & Intervention Collaborate with Operations to design financial health metrics and threshold-based triggers that prompt proactive intervention for at-risk franchisees. Build and manage a process and reporting cadence to monitor new franchisee ramp performance, highlight emerging risks, and support timely operational intervention. Build early warning indicators from P&L trends to support franchise performance teams in prioritizing coaching and support resources. Serve as a trusted cross-functional partner to Operations, Franchise Development, and Compliance stakeholders. Qualifications Required 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or auditing; multi-unit or franchise experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience building or transforming financial reporting infrastructure, ideally in a multi-brand or multi-entity environment. Strong command of P&L mechanics and unit economics; ability to translate financial data into operational and strategic recommendations. Experience managing chart of accounts design and financial data mapping across complex organizational structures. Proven ability to manage multiple business models simultaneously, navigating varied cost structures, revenue streams, and reporting requirements with ease. Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence without direct authority. Strong project leadership skills with the ability to operate independently and drive outcomes in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. Preferred Experience with financial statement aggregation or consolidation platforms (e.g., multi-entity accounting or reporting software). Background in franchise operations or franchise consulting. Familiarity with data visualization or BI tools; ability to design dashboards and executive-level reporting. MBA or CPA a plus, but not required.
