This role maintains and monitors all instruments, electrical, and control systems at a combined cycle power plant, requiring expertise in Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (IC&E) disciplines, troubleshooting, calibration, and adherence to safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Military or technical training in Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Maintenance
- Combined cycle generating station experience
- Siemens T3000 Distributed Control Systems (DCS) maintenance and logic development
- PLC systems troubleshooting
- Equipment monitoring: combustion turbines, steam turbines, generators, HRSGs, pumps, valves
- Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) maintenance QA/QC, adhering to plant air permit Title V compliance
- CMMS experience (Maximo preferred)
- NERC standards and cyber security knowledge
Working Conditions
- Industrial power plant environment with exposure to rotating equipment, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, high voltage, fumes/gases, confined spaces, and physical demands (climbing, lifting, prolonged standing). Requires call-out and outage response availability.
Specific Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Pass EEI MASS Test
- Journeyman certification in Instrument, Controls, and Electrical disciplines
- Pass respiratory physical for confined space requirements
- Willingness to develop skills in plant operations and mechanical discipline
