Responsibilities:
Direct and lead molding staff to ensure daily production goals are met in a safe and efficient manner.
Coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules, quality standards, and safety objectives.
Assign work, monitor staffing levels, and provide guidance to ensure proper machine operation and workflow.
Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Monitor molding processes to maintain product quality and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot molding process issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
Submit accurate daily and periodic production reports, including output, efficiency, scrap, and downtime.
Utilize SAP for production reporting, inventory management, and transaction accuracy.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, documentation, and communication.
Train, coach, and support team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement.
Conduct shift handovers and ensure clear communication across teams and shifts.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Ensure proper use, care, and basic maintenance of molding equipment and tooling.
Enforce standard work instructions, work procedures, and housekeeping requirements (5S).
Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Planning teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Participate in audits, investigations, and root cause analysis as required.
Qualifications:
Preferable High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification, associate degree, or related training preferred.
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in molding operations, manufacturing, or a related production environment.
Previous leadership or team‑lead experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of molding processes, equipment operation, and production workflows (injection, compression, or blow molding as applicable).
Working knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting, documentation, and basic data analysis.
Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for production reporting, inventory transactions, and order management.
