Job Summary:
The Service Technician II will service electronic, and software based medical devices in accordance with product requirements. They will troubleshoot, repair, and test complex medical devices as part of the service department activities. They will prepare the service history record for the servicing activities and will analyze the servicing records for trends and indicators of problems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting of returned devices to confirm the reported problem and determine the appropriate repairs
Interface with customers who call to request an RMA for sending a device in for service
Analyze activities for trends and indicators
Support the complaint investigation process as necessary
Provide status of servicing activities and devices in the service process
Provide continuous improvement suggestions
Contribute to the overall improvement in Forj Medical Systems and processes
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent experience in applicable field required
3-5 years of experience working with electronic devices
Trainer Certification required
Soldering Certification required
Must have a working knowledge of electronic circuits, test methodologies, embedded systems and electronic test equipment
Meet service labor standard
Ability to perform troubleshooting on several devices, exhibiting versatility
Proficiency in hardware testing, software testing, test documentation development
Ability to keep good records - per FDA QSR and ISO 13485 requirements
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Subject to Mandatory Overtime requirements based on business demands
Must be authorized to work in the United States
