JOB TITLE: Pump Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Retail Technical
REPORTING TO: Field Services Team Leader

Must be medically fit
Valid Driver’s License is essential
Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, overtime and standby
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The prime objective for the pump attendant to dispense fuel into vehicles at the site; take daily readings on all equipment as per the Standard Works Procedure within set SLA’s and KPI’s and general daily maintenance. Report all activity and or equipment failure to Gilbarco Technician on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately dispense fuel into approved vehicles with the correct fuel type.
Conduct regular inspections and report faulty fuel management and dispensing equipment and issues on site.
Capture manual overrides
General maintenance and inspection of the site fuelling architecture and the site.
Always adhere to all HSSE requirements, report any issues and use required PPE at all times.
Take pump meter readings, tank level readings and record deliveries on the requisite time
Record and submit daily reconciliation sheet and deliveries to DDS department.
Investigate tank and meter variances
Update requisite modules on DataFLex for meter readings and tote movements
Facilitate the safe delivery of product on site and check the quantities of product delivered.
Escalate when full tanker delivery cannot fit into the tank (Left On Board).
Ensure that quality of work done is always exceptional and high level of professionalism is maintained
Report on incident and near misses
Provide support to other team members as and when required

100% Daily Reconciliation sheet filled and submitted by taking pump meter readings, tank level readings and recording deliveries within SLA times

All HSSE rules to be followed during dispensing and deliveries
Ensure that quality of work done is exceptional at all times and housekeeping is maintained.
100% High level of professionalism is maintained
100% On time attendance on site at all times
100% Accuracy of information on all documents
100% completion of the requisite fuel management architecture inspections
100% reporting of all incidences on site
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education/achievements
Grade 12
Experience/Knowledge
At least 1 years working experience as a Pump Attendant.
Specific Skills
Numeracy, accuracy, efficiency, and reliability are key skills
Ability to communicate quickly and effectively both written and verbal
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
