Job Summary
The Field Technician is responsible for the configuration, deployment, and support of end user systems and infrastructure supporting the enterprise. Collaborates with cross functional teams to administer enterprise solutions with a focus on security, extensibility, performance, and maintainability, and in accordance with standards and operational best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform configuration, deployment, and support of end user systems with a high degree of focus on client satisfaction, and in accordance with security standards and operational best practices.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, and document a variety of complex problems associated with hardware, software, networking and peripherals.
- Establish, document, and communicate methods/processes for testing, loading and configuring hardware and software in accordance with security standards and operational procedures.
- Work with customers to clearly identify and resolve complaints and concerns.
- Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
- Analyzes and resolves problems.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
- Minimum experience required: 2+ years in IT end user systems administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certification (MCP), MCE, ITIL Foundation is preferred.
- Experience in financial industry preferred.
Job Competencies:
- Knowledge and understanding of Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
- Experience creating, using and editing batch files, shell scripts, or other programming languages.
- Ability to review and understand Windows event viewer.
- Experience using remote management tools to support remote offices.
- Knowledge of and experience using system management consoles (e.g., Active Directory, Console One, Altiris, Safeboot, etc.).
- Knowledge of and experience working with desktop, laptop and thin client hardware.
- Experience in computer networking.
- Experience in customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
- Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
- Fosters or supports a positive work culture and productive work environment, displaying importance of effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
