CHPP Leading Hand - Maules Creek

About the Role The CHPP Leading Hand is responsible for supervising a team involved with the processing of coal to ensure productions targets are met at our Maules Creek Operation. The role will involve working day and night shifts on the lifestyle roster (4/4/6/4).  What You’ll Do Oversee a team of workers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards Operate various basic and complex machinery with manual maintenance work Undertake inspections ensuring all equipment is operating to the correct standards Comply with all safety and PPE requirements and promoting mine safety Variety of team based and autonomous duties involving plant operation and maintenance work What You’ll Bring Australian recognised Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualification with certificate of proficiency Demonstrated leadership experience in mining, civil or industrial environments Holder of a valid driver’s licence Live local to the Gunnedah region, or have a willingness to relocate Adherence and participation of our STRIVE Values (Safety, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Value, Excellence) Why Whitehaven Coal?
