Job Description
Are you passionate about quality and take pride in ensuring products meet the highest standards? Ice River Sustainable Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Feversham team.
In this hands-on role, you'll play an important part in maintaining product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance throughout our plastics manufacturing process. Working closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams, you'll perform inspections, laboratory testing, documentation, and process verification to help ensure our products consistently meet customer and company standards.
This position works a 12-hour continental rotation.
Pay Rate: $24.46/hour
What You'll Do
Perform quality inspections, testing, and analysis on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products
Collect samples and complete laboratory testing to verify product quality and compliance
Calibrate and maintain quality testing equipment
Complete quality documentation, traceability records, corrective action reports, and non-conformance reports
Identify, isolate, and document non-conforming materials or products
Participate in GMP, HACCP, SQF, and internal quality audits
Support sanitation verification and food safety programs
Train production employees on quality standards and best practices
Work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement
Complete additional duties as required to support plant operations
What We're Looking For
Previous Quality Assurance and/or sanitation experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is considered an asset
Experience in plastics manufacturing, laboratory testing, thermoforming, bottle or preform production is an asset
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF programs is considered an asset
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Willingness to learn and develop new skills—we're happy to train the right candidate!
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, lift, and carry materials throughout the shift
Comfortable working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following all health, safety, food safety, and quality procedures
