Overview of St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati (SVDP) has served residents of Greater Cincinnati for over 150 years with basic needs such as food, medicine, and homelessness prevention through its outreach center in the West End and 56 parish-based volunteer Conferences (chapters). SVDP provides holistic direct assistance and systemic change services while treating neighbors in need with dignity and compassion.  
 
Position Summary: The Interim Events & Drives Coordinator provides administrative and logistical support for SVDP events, drives, and community engagement initiatives.
 
Responsibilities • Assists the Director of Events & Community Engagement with planning and logistics for SVDP events and drives. • Help coordinate community drives by overseeing scheduling and logistics for drive materials and donations. • Prepare and order event supplies such as name tags, participant packets, and other event related materials. • Track and maintain accurate records of event attendees, drive participants, and volunteers. • Solicit, secure, and manage in-kind donations - including raffle and silent auction items. • Collaborate with the Volunteer team to secure volunteer support for events and drives and prepare volunteer instructions and materials. • Assist with marketing and promotion efforts in partnership with the Marketing team. • Support event-day operations, including setup, registration, and teardown. • Assist post-event wrap-up including unpacking, organizing, and storing event supplies. • Perform other event-related duties and support additional projects and tasks as needed. 
 
Skills • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with excellent attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer service focus. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software. • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. 
 
Qualifications • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in event planning, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field strongly preferred. • 1-3 years of experience in event coordination, administrative support, or fundraising is a plus. • Demonstrated passion for SVDP’s mission and a strong commitment to community service. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally in accordance with job duties. • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. 
 
Physical Requirements • Most duties can be performed at a desk using standard office equipment; however, the role requires standing, walking, and bending for extended periods, particularly during events and drives. • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25lbs.
