Pay: $53.11/hr.

*Pay rates listed reflect the full rate for this position, including both the base pay and health and welfare benefits in accordance with applicable requirements. Pay is based on numerous factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS


Position Overview: In this role, you will oversee healthcare program operations within a GWFS operated government detention facility while ensuring the delivery of compliant, high-quality healthcare services in accordance with government standards, ACA standards, NCCHC accreditation requirements, and applicable federal regulations. You will provide leadership and coordination for healthcare compliance activities, quality improvement initiatives, accreditation readiness, staff training programs, and operational healthcare support functions while serving as a key liaison between contractor staff, facility leadership, and government representatives. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, healthcare program management experience, and the ability to manage complex healthcare operations within a secure correctional environment while maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all facility accreditation activities including ACA, NCCHC, and compliance reviews while ensuring operational readiness for audits, inspections, and external assessments conducted by government and additional accrediting organizations.
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with government policies, detention standards, accreditation requirements, and applicable federal healthcare regulations while identifying operational deficiencies and implementing corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Direct facility-wide Quality Improvement (QI) and Risk Management programs in alignment with government standards while supporting operational performance monitoring and healthcare compliance initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, track, and report healthcare performance data, operational trends, quality indicators, and clinical outcomes to support healthcare program evaluations and operational improvements.
  • Lead multidisciplinary quality improvement meetings and coordinate implementation of process improvements, operational recommendations, and healthcare performance initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Maintain documentation and operational records demonstrating compliance with healthcare performance measures, accreditation standards, and clinical quality requirements.
  • Oversee the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of training programs for healthcare personnel including onboarding, annual competencies, infection prevention, clinical protocols, emergency response, and operational readiness training.
  • Ensure healthcare staff maintain required licensure, certifications, competencies, and training compliance in accordance with government standards, accreditation requirements, and facility operational policies.
  • Review, update, implement, and disseminate healthcare policies, clinical guidelines, and facility-specific operational procedures to maintain consistency with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct policy compliance audits and provide operational guidance, recommendations, and support to healthcare personnel and facility leadership regarding healthcare standards and procedural requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for healthcare-related inquiries, correspondence, operational coordination, and compliance activities involving government representatives, contractor leadership, accrediting agencies, and outside organizations.
  • Facilitate communication between healthcare providers, detention personnel, administrative staff, contractors, and government representatives while supporting responses to grievances, legal inquiries, audits, and operational reports as required.


Qualifications:

  • Must possess Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of healthcare program management experience, preferably in correctional, detention, or public health settings.
  • Must possess experience with ACA or NCCHC standards and accreditation processes.
  • Must possess ability to navigate Microsoft programs, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a federal contract environment or detention/correctional healthcare system preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Clinical license (RN, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Certification in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar is highly desirable.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization.
  • If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.
  • Must consent to fingerprinting.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening.
  • Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening.
  • Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.


Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.


Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
