DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for modern software systems supporting mission-critical operations. In this role, you will lead automated testing efforts, validate system integrations, and ensure high-quality software delivery across Agile development teams. Your expertise in test automation and system validation will directly contribute to reliable and scalable mission solutions.

A Day in the Life
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for software applications.
- Develop and execute integration and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Perform REST API testing and validation to ensure service reliability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans and defect reports.
- Participate in Agile development activities and contribute to quality assurance best practices.
What You Bring to the Table
- Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience designing and implementing integration test suites.
- Experience with REST API testing and validation.
- Proficiency with Cypress or similar end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of test design patterns and best practices.
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills for test documentation and defect reporting.
- Experience working collaboratively with development teams.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript (preferably).
- Experience testing microservice architectures (preferably).
- Familiarity with additional testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Jest, or Mocha (preferably).
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Supertest (preferably).
- Knowledge of performance and load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Gatling (preferably).
- Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact or similar (preferably).
- Familiarity with testing in containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferably).
- Experience with test data management and mocking strategies (preferably).
- Knowledge of accessibility testing including WCAG compliance and tools such as axe-core (preferably).
- Experience with visual regression testing tools (preferably).
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Go, Node.js, or Python (preferably).
- Understanding of security testing principles (preferably).
- Experience with test reporting and metrics dashboards (preferably).
- Knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow (preferably).
- Experience mentoring junior test engineers (preferably).
- Familiarity with cloud test platforms such as AWS/C2S (preferably).
What You Need
Experience: Two (2) to Five (5) years of professional software testing experience.
Education: Professional experience supporting software testing and quality assurance activities.
Certifications: None
Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)
