What is the Opportunity?

The Senior Project Manager, Total Rewards Delivery Modernization will lead one or more project engagements to understand, analyze, develop the business case, coordination of project schedules and timelines. The role will be required to apply extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments, focused on the Total Rewards Delivery Modernization projects including recommendations on project, scope, timing and issue resolutions.

What will you do?

  • Build stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes with senior leaders.

  • Work closely with stakeholders (internal & external) to define the business problem and issues, and recommend planned approach for resolution.

  • Work with the project team to align messaging to diverse audiences, develop and deliver (internal) client presentations (i.e. senior management status updates; analytical support for project teams, including data collection, trend identification, data visualization, and result interpretation).

  • Manage all aspects of projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of project - adherence to project schedules, budgets, and goals.

  • Lead analysis and solution development of key elements of each project.

  • Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems, and requirements, and provide recommendations for improvement ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.

  • Assist with the creation of detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications.

  • Providing technical and analytical support to project team members. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables.

  • Scheduling and organizing project meetings; participating in project tracking, analysis, and reporting.

  • Coordinating and reporting on the progress made on projects and accomplishments made with clients.

  • Participating in developing each phase of the project management process including developing project plans, justifications, roles, responsibilities and reporting procedures.

Must-have:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience as a proven leader driving large and complex cross-functional program delivery, leading change, team collaboration, transparency, and alignment on goals and expectations. Preferably experience with Human Resources projects.

  • Undergraduate degree and ideally Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.

  • Advanced planning and scheduling expertise.

  • Financial program management experience in budget management, financial forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and vendor invoicing.

  • Advanced understanding and experience with risk and issue management frameworks, including the ability to conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain transparency in reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Knowledge of business process modelling and reengineering.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business analysis software.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in managing transformational compensation and technology programs at a large financial services company, across global jurisdictions.

  • Understanding of HR technologies such as Workday and SAP.

  • Interest and ability in leveraging AI to increase operational efficiencies and consistency.

  • BSC degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

  • Prior experience at RBC and familiarity with RBC’s Project Governance is an asset.
