Senior Director, Product Management- 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a Senior Director of Product Management who will own the strategy, coordination, and execution for Clarivate’s portfolio of established (heritage) IP Management Software (IPMS) products. This role is responsible for driving a clear convergence strategy toward a unified IPMS future, while ensuring the ongoing success, stability, and competitiveness of the existing IPMS platforms.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

• 10+ years of relevant experience within product manager in the intellectual property space.

• Proven success driving platform convergence, shared capability development, or portfolio‑level transformation initiatives

• Deep experience working with engineering teams on platform, integration, or AI‑driven product strategies

• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS, integrations, and the operational realities of sustaining mature products while building toward a new future

What you'll be doing in this role

• Own the end‑to‑end product strategy for the heritage IPMS portfolio, balancing near‑term client commitments with long‑term convergence objectives

• Define and execute a clear, multi‑year convergence strategy aligned with Clarivate’s IPMS and IPfolio direction, including migration paths, sequencing, and dependency management

• Establish portfolio‑level priorities and trade‑off decisions across products to ensure focus on the highest‑impact initiatives

• Act as the central strategic authority across the heritage IPMS portfolio, ensuring alignment on vision, roadmap themes, and investment focus

• Drive consistency in product decision‑making, roadmap structure, and success metrics across IPMS

• Partner with engineering and architecture leadership to align product strategy with standardized platform and solutioning principles

• Lead the coordination and adoption of AI‑enabled capabilities across IPMS, ensuring development follows a build‑once, reuse‑many model wherever possible

• Partner with AI platform teams to prioritize IPMS‑specific AI use cases and embed AI directly into client workflows rather than standalone tools

• Ensure consistent AI capability rollout, governance, and customer experience across heritage IPMS products

• Own the strategy for shared integration development across IPMS, including prioritization, sequencing, and reuse of connectors and integration frameworks

• Drive alignment between platform, product, and delivery teams to streamline integration development and reduce duplicated effort

• Ensure integrations are commercially viable, scalable, and aligned to convergence goals

• Identify and eliminate duplicative product and development efforts across IPMS

• Drive efficiency in roadmap delivery through shared components, common patterns, and aligned release planning

• Establish clear portfolio‑level OKRs and drive accountability for outcomes, not activity

• Serve as a senior product leader and trusted partner to IPMS product leaders, engineering leadership, sales, customer success, and professional services

• Communicate portfolio strategy, convergence progress, and trade‑offs clearly to executive leadership

• Support customer‑facing teams with consistent, confidence‑building messaging about product direction and future state

Hours of work

This is a 1 year fixed term contract, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
