This temporary position is located in 3301 Terminal Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609- Wake County, with the Department of Health and Human Services.
The NC Disability Determination Services (NCDDS) Division under the NC Department of Health & Human Services is responsible for making medical determinations on disability claims for the Social Security Administration and the state Medicaid office.
The division adjudicates over 140,000 initial disability applications, reconsiderations, reviews for continuing eligibility, and continuing disability review appeals annually under the Social Security and Supplemental Security Income program and disability applications for medical assistance.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Management Preferences:
This position reports to the Business Officer I position and supports the Budget Unit
Maintaining the electronic Vendor File for the agency, which involves establishing new vendors in the internal and statewide accounting system
Updating existing vendor information to ensure system integrity and payments
Resolving discrepancies in the vendor file
Analyzing the status of vendors on a routine basis and deleting out-of-date vendors
Processing electronic medical evidence of records (MER) vouchers for payments
Researching vendors' information and returned checks from vendors
Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities.
Considerable knowledge of policies and procedures related to a program or area of specialization.
Skilled in providing excellent service to internal and external customers. Ability to grasp complex learning situations that involve several steps and require appropriate action within procedural and operational guidelines.
Knowledge of NCFS and Microsoft suite (with a focus on Excel and Outlook)
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
