Summer Camp Counselor- Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is excited to welcome Summer Camp Counselors to the team at Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center and Second Ward Gymnasium. These temporary, 40-hour per week positions will assist with the operations of summer day camps for youth and/or teens. They will provide direct supervision of campers and assist in planning and directing camp activities such as arts and crafts, athletics, games, aquatics, field trips, etc. In addition, the incumbents may also participate in membership promotions, communicate facility policies to patrons and overall customer service management of the facility. The dates of this temporary employment opportunity will include mandatory orientation and staff training. Specific dates will be discussed during the interview process, and the selected candidates will be expected to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
