Job Description

Introduction Welcome to Gallagher in India — where expertise, technology, and purpose come together. Since 2006, Gallagher in India has supported global teams by delivering quality, service, and speed through deep expertise, smart technology, and specialized knowledge services. More than just an operations center, it’s a place where careers grow through collaboration, continuous learning, and purposeful work. We drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation so our teams can focus on serving clients. If you enjoy solving problems and working with purpose, Gallagher is the place where you can grow and feel a sense of belonging. Overview Overview Join our Catastrophe Analytics team in Mumbai or Bangalore and help model insurance and reinsurance exposures. You’ll support simple renewals, help on larger projects, and turn data into clear loss summaries for clients. This role works on rotational shifts. The work changes with client needs and deadlines, so it suits someone who can learn fast, stay organised, and adapt when plans shift. You’ll be part of a team that values doing the right thing, working together, and growing through support and shared learning. How You’ll Make an Impact You’ll prepare model inputs, clean and check data, and make sure exposure records are ready for analysis. You’ll work with SQL and Excel to edit data, spot gaps, and keep records in good shape. You’ll then help geocode exposures, apply the right model and peril settings, and run catastrophe models to quantify loss potential. You’ll also create exposure and loss summaries, build maps and visuals, and run custom peril analyses using internal tools and WTW proprietary models. When needed, you’ll share progress and key updates with lead analysts so everyone stays aligned. About You Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: You can work with data in Excel and SQL, or you’re ready to learn them quickly. You can check data carefully, spot missing or inconsistent details, and fix issues. You can explain your work clearly in writing and in team conversations. You can manage several tasks at once and keep track of changing deadlines. You can work well with people across locations and time zones. You’re comfortable learning new tools and new ways of working. A background in maths, statistics, economics, engineering, or another quantitative subject would help, but it isn’t the only route into this role. How you'll make an impact Responsibilities Prepare model input data using SQL and Excel. Clean, check, and organise exposure data before analysis. Geocode exposures and apply the right model and peril settings. Run catastrophe models, including RMS RiskLink, AIR Touchstone, CoreLogic RQE, and WTW proprietary models.
