Description of Job Duties: The Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences at SWOSU seeks a qualified individual to serve as an Assistant Professor of Biology with an emphasis in Cell Biology. Primary teaching responsibilities include courses in Cell Biology, participation in one or more core Biology courses, and teaching within the candidate’s area of expertise. Additional responsibilities may include supporting pre-professional courses (Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, and Microbiology), as well as general education biology (Principles of Biology, Biological Concepts, and Current Issues in Biology). The candidate is expected to engage students in undergraduate research and work with colleagues to integrate research into the biology curriculum. Startup funds and research space are available.
