Job Description

  ASRC Federal Gulf States Constructors is seeking an Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator to support activities under the Sheppard Air Force Base contract in Wichita Falls, Texas. This role is an onsite position that will require five days a week on base.    Key Role:  The Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator will maintain/update the Installation Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator In Accordance With all applicable Federal, State, Department of Defense (DoD), Airforce (AF), and Local rules and regulations and will assist the Installation, its Geographically Separated Unit (GSUs) populace, and the Cross Functional Team (CFT). Ensure all environmentally significant issues are communicated to Government leadership (via the Cross Functional Team CFT) as required by the most current version of all applicable Federal, State, Department of Defense (DoD), Airforce (AF), and Local rules and regulations. Serve as a consultant for facilitating the installation’s Environmental Management System (EMS) providing direct support, training, and direction.  Ensure the installation and its Geographically Separated Unit (GSU) are in conformance with the most current version of DAFI 32-7001, Environmental Management, and Sheppard’s Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator. Provide services to certify the EMS program conforms to Air Force Standards. Schedule and prepare briefing presentations quarterly for the Cross-Functional Team (CFT) and semi-annually for the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Council (ESOHC). Enter, track, and brief status of environmental findings of non-compliance. Assist in closure of findings to include root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Complete and communicate annual Environmental Risk Assessments, Environmental Action Plans, and Environmental Management Reviews. Lead the Unit Environmental Coordinator Program. Ensure installation personnel receive awareness-level Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator Training. Ensure Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator Supplement pages and documents on Environmental Dashboard eDASH are reviewed and updated annually or when requirements change.  Ensure state/local legal and operational controls are documented on eDASH. Confirm the Installation Environmental Commitment Statement has been reviewed at least annually by CFT and ESOHC membership. Complete annual self-inspections checklists in MICT. Participate in all Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator audits whether announced or no-notice.   Provide services to certify the EMS program conforms to Air Force Standards Schedule and prepare briefing presentations quarterly for the Cross-Functional Team (CFT) and semi-annually for the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Council (ESOHC). Write CFT Meeting Minutes and ensure they are signed, posted to Environmental Dashboard (eDASH), and distributed to membership within 30 days of the meeting. Enter, track, and brief status of environmental findings of non-compliance. Assist in closure of findings to include root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Complete and communicate annual Environmental Risk Assessments, Environmental Action Plans, and Environmental Management Reviews. Lead the Unit Environmental Coordinator Program. Ensure installation personnel receive awareness-level Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator Training. Ensure Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator Supplement pages and documents on Environmental Dashboard eDASH are reviewed and updated annually or when requirements change.  Ensure state/local legal and operational controls are documented on eDASH. Required Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related physical science field (e.g., Geology, Biology, Chemistry), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience as an Environmental Management System (EMS) Coordinator or supporting environmental compliance programs, including but not limited to: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Clean Water Act (CWA) Clean Air Act (CAA) Solid Waste (SW) Management Valid state-issued driver’s license. Ability to obtain the following certifications within six (6) months of hire if not currently held: WENV 101 – Introduction to Environmental Management WENV 020 – Environmental Systems Coordinator WENV 350 – Environmental Management Systems Auditing Additional Requirement Must be a U.S. Citizen
