Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer  and Certified Great Place to Work™.    We are seeking a Journeyman Technical Writer to support a USAF contract at Hill AFB, Utah.  The Journeyman Technical Writer supports A-10 Operational Flight Program (OFP) software development and modifications by working with other team members (engineers, equipment specialists, Program Managers, etc.) in an Agile development environment.    Responsibilities  Collects, organizes, and reviews information required for updating and creating Technical Orders (TOs), Test Procedure Documents (TPDs), Preliminary TOs (PTOs), T- 2s, TCTOs, SDCRs, DCRs, SCRs, training guides, proposals, reports, and other necessary technical data packages.   Edits and illustrates functional descriptions, system specifications, user's manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.   Conducts peer reviews per customer process, documenting all errors to be fixed within the assigned Government software PI.   Assists 309th SWEG in the implementation and review of produced technical data packages and documents as necessary.   Works in conjunction with scrum teams to identify scope and associated changes to required TOs in concert with requirements development.   Prepares documentation and illustrations required to create necessary technical data packages and kits to support trial installations, engineering proofs of concept, kit proofing, validation, and verification.   Reviews and authors technical source data to determine the changes required for technical data packages   Provides page and graphics count estimates  Authors and reviews the required technical data package changes as required.    Requirements  Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline   Experience: 3-10 years of relevant experience  Clearance: Must possess an active Secret clearance  Must be able to plan and prioritize personal tasking and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.  Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team.    Schedule  Facilities are generally open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours  You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments  You have the option to work a standard 5 days per week schedule or a 5/4/9 schedule which is sometimes referred to as a 9/80 schedule.    Why ASRC?   As a wholly owned subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation, we are inspired by the Iñupiat culture.
