ROLE SUMMARY:

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an outstanding and ambitious team at Inspired’s recently opened premium school on the island paradise of The Bahamas. The school has already proven to be incredibly successful and is now moving into its second year.

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Sport who brings creativity, a forward-thinking attitude and outstanding experience from the best schools across the world.

King’s College School offers the highest quality modern facilities in a purpose-built state-of-the-art facility on an expansive 10-acre campus, ensuring that students benefit from a learning environment that has been designed for how students learn in the modern day. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To build an outstanding Sports department that enriches the lives of our students and brings success to the school
• Take our sporting programme across the island, ensuring that we have regular and competitive sporting fixtures
• Build a team of outstanding sports teachers who are committed to the journey that the school is on
• Liaise regularly with the school leadership team on how the sporting programme can be improved
• Look at the extra curricular offering and how this can be improved
• Assess the sporting facilities at school and suggest ways in which these can be improved
• Create a programme that reflects both individual and team sports 
• Work across the group on creating the best summer camp provision available on the market

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• An outstanding teaching background with the ability to showcase this 
• Experience in building a sporting programme from the bottom up
• A personality that reflects very positively about sport and the positive influence that this can bring to our students' lives
• A flexible approach to work with the willingness to work weekends and during school holiday if required
• A strong belief and interest in sport with hobbies that showcase this
• A successful personal academic background that has sport at the centre
