Job Description
Position Summary:
- The Housekeeping Manager works with the Assistant Director and Director of Housekeeping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department.
- Ensure guest rooms, hallways, public areas and other facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, orderly, and secure condition.
Job Duties:
- Assists in developing training material for safety concerns and address challenges.
- Communicates with Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Director.
- Performs room inspections for an average of 5 guest rooms per day.
- Routinely checks on public areas to ensure they are maintained daily.
- Communicates team morale with employees and supervisors.
- Coordinates housekeeping personnel & communication, housekeeping projects, and daily activities to meet hotel needs and ensure efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
- College degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum two (2) years management experience in a hotel/resort housekeeping environment.
- Experience in the selection, training and supervision of housekeeping staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner.
- Excellent organizational, time management and strong analytical and computer skills.
