Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst leads complex financial analyses and planning activities to support strategic decision-making and business performance management. This role partners with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, manage forecasting processes, and improve reporting capabilities across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities for assigned departments or business units.
Develop advanced financial models to analyze business scenarios, track performance, and support strategic initiatives.
Perform variance analysis and partner with business leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
Reporting & Insights
Prepare and deliver financial reporting packages and dashboards for leadership, highlighting key trends and insights.
Support business units with KPI reporting on key operational, sales, and financial metrics.
Provide ad-hoc reporting and forward-looking analysis, proactively engaging business leaders in gap analysis and course correction.
Close & Compliance
Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
Apply a thorough understanding of US GAAP for purposes of financial statement analysis.
Process Improvement & Systems
Contribute to process improvements, financial systems upgrades, and automation initiatives.
Identify and assist in the implementation of enhancements to financial reporting and planning systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
5-6yrs years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Proficient in financial modeling, Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights).
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and financial planning platforms.
Thorough understanding of US GAAP for financial statement analysis.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
Preferred
MBA or CFA designation.
Experience in a high-growth or publicly traded company environment.
Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools.
