Job Description

Summary 

Performs various accounting duties which include collecting, inputting and reviewing financial data, preparing reconciliations, cash management and banking duties.

Essential Functions

  • Performs various treasury accounting work for RiverStone, including its subsidiaries.
  • Maintainday-to-daybanking functions including daily bank reconciliations, processing paymentsfrom multiple systems, processingcheck deposits,and managing banking relationships.
  • Maintainaccountspayablefunctions including reviewing/posting invoices,maintainingvendors, and processing expense payments.
  • Maintainaccountsreceivable functions including entering/posting customer billings, applying cash receipts to customercards,maintainingcustomer cardsforaccuracyandmonitoringaged receivables.
  • Specific focus on monitoring and managing liquidity needs and cash flow.
  • Participates andprovides assistancewiththe audit process, to include ensuring internal controlsoperateeffectively.
  • Prepares internal and external audit supporting documentation.
  • Collects financial data for preparation,maintenanceand analysis of various general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor vendor management by entering/verifying new vendors or vendor changes and ensuring proper document support.
  • Prepare theannualfiling of1099s.
  • Monitors various activities and transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitors various aspects of assigned area for compliance with required recording and reporting.
  • Analysis of financial data.
  • Communicates activity and transactions asappropriate.
  • Establishes andmaintainseffective working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Assists the business with ad hoc requests and special projects as needed related to Treasury.

Required Skills

  • Customer serviceorientedwith the ability to developlong-lastingrelationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Computer skills in a Microsoft environment.
  • Able to work in a fast paced,deadline orientedenvironment.
  • Solid analytical ability andthe demonstratedability to effectively perform within ateam orientedenvironment.
  • Detail andmulti taskoriented with strong mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Competentin accounting theory
  • Assistin basic-level data research

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience inAccounting
  • Treasury accounting experience a plus

Required Education

Four-year college degree in accounting or related field or comparable work experience required.
