The Target Pay Range for this position is $26.00 Hourly. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
Job Purpose/Overview
The Quality Technician supports quality department activities at the Rockville, Md. manufacturing site to ensure compliance with internal procedures and requirements. This role is responsible for performing inspections, supporting labeling operations, maintaining quality records, and assisting with routine Quality processes as assigned. The Quality Technician works closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality and compliance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform production and status labeling activities, including monitoring label and component inventory and maintaining label printers.
- Handle incoming delivery-related communications and coordinate receipt activities with the warehouse.
- Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, apply appropriate status labels, complete inspection documentation, and ensure proper transfer of materials to warehouse storage.
- Maintain records, including cleaning logs, preventive maintenance schedules, calibration records, and environmental monitoring documentation as required by the Quality Management System.
- Conduct in-process and finished goods inspections to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to established quality procedures and operational requirements.
- Support training activities and inventory transactions, including receiving, transfers, quarantine, release, and material disposal processes.
- Provide administrative support to maintain organized, accurate, and accessible quality documentation and records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a scientific or technical field preferred.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or warehouse operations within a regulated environment strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), document control, and quality system processes are an asset.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems, document management systems).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing 20–50 lbs.
- Flexibility to support various QA tasks and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Work performed primarily in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Must wear appropriate PPE (lab coat, hair cover, etc.) while performing job duties.
- Work may involve managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced production environment to support operational timelines.
