Instrument and Measurement Technician II - Civil, Materials, and Environmental Engineering

The Measurement and Instrument Technician II is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and validation of instrumentation and measurement systems used in laboratory and high bay testing environments. This role ensures the accuracy, reliability, and traceability of data collected during system integration, validation, and performance testing activities. The technician supports engineers and test teams by preparing instrumentation setups, maintaining measurement integrity, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Duties Responsibilities: Calibration Maintenance: Calibrate and adjust pressure meters, flow meters, and control devices to meet standards. Repair: Disassemble, repair, and replace components in faulty instruments. Troubleshooting: Use logical reasoning to troubleshoot complex instruments and control systems. Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of maintenance and calibration. Safety: Adhere strictly to safety regulations, including OSHA standards Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
