UA Mower Operator

Position Summary: Duration: 6-9 months Openings: 1 Compensation: $18.00/Hr 40hours per week Hours of Operation: Summer hours-Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (May – August) Fall hours: Monday -Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (August 31-December) Job Duties: Responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of Toro Groundsmaster 4000 11’ mower throughout the campus grounds. This position supports full-time staff by providing large area mowing on a consistent schedule. Operator will perform mowing around trees, buildings and fixtures consistent with a college campus environment. Daily communication with full-time staff will require well-developed communication skills and attention to detail. Operator will be expected to pick up trash during mowing operations on an as needed basis. Required to mow according to defined schedule and route while adhering to safe and accident-free equipment operating guidelines. Required to attend safety and equipment Training. Road transport of mowing equipment will be required and necessitate a valid driver's license. Credentials Desired: Individuals who have demonstrated experience in the operation of large mowers or other relevant equipment. Experience mowing large areas in a public setting is helpful.
