
Pilot Second in Command Gulfstream 500
Job Description
Purpose of Position
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified Second in Command (SIC) candidates for a Gulfstream G500 based in Bedford, Massachusetts (KBED). While the aircraft is professionally managed by EJM, all flight crew members are employed directly by the aircraft owner’s company.
This operation averages approximately 350 flight hours annually, with up to 20% international travel. The account includes a fleet of a Gulfstream G500, Gulfstream G800, and a helicopter, supported by a team of seven pilots and three maintenance technicians operating under Part 91. Candidates with Gulfstream experience will be prioritized.
Location Requirement:
Candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a two-hour radius of Bedford (KBED).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and overall welfare of passengers, with a strong focus on cabin safety and service
- Maintain proficiency in all applicable abnormal and emergency procedures
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of cabin systems and aircraft operations
- Perform all assigned duties to support the safe and efficient execution of flight operations
- Report directly to the Chief Pilot regarding overall performance and responsibilities
- Support the Pilot in Command (PIC) on each assigned trip and carry out all duties as delegated by the PIC
