Internship topic: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for Space Systems We are offering an exciting student internship or thesis opportunity in the field of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the space domain. The position focuses on the evolution and practical application of an MBSE framework used for space systems engineering, with a particular emphasis on SysML modeling. This role is well-suited for motivated students who are eager to learn, enjoy working in a structured yet exploratory technical environment, and are comfortable taking ownership of their tasks. Prior experience with MBSE or SysML is not required—a strong willingness to learn and a self-organized working style are far more important. Your Tasks Depending on your interests, background, and whether the position is an internship or thesis, you will contribute to one or more of the following topics: Evolution of the OHB MBSE Framework, including: Implementation of advanced features such as automated report / budget generation or data extraction Development of user guidance and usability features to support MBSE practitioners Analysis, definition, and implementation of a transition concept from SysML v1 to SysML v2 within the existing MBSE framework Exploration and use of the tool API for automation and tool enhancement Implementation of additional views and domain-specific aspects in MBSE General modeling support for ongoing space projects Support of domain-specific MBSE extensions for space systems engineering The exact focus can be tailored jointly to fit academic requirements (internship or thesis) and personal interests.
