The Opportunity
We are seeking an Engineer – Irrigation Water Supply Infrastructure to join our Melbourne team, supporting a growing pipeline of irrigation, water supply, and integrated water management projects.
You’ll work across irrigation systems, bulk water conveyance, and system optimisation projects, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and modelling through to design and construction support.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career engineer to build technical capability while working alongside leading specialists in the field providing a significant opportunity to accelerate your technical and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the design of irrigation infrastructure (channels, pipelines, pump stations)
• Support drainage investigations and design
• Contribute to hydraulic modelling, feasibility studies, and detailed design
• Provide construction phase support, including site inspections
• Undertake water balance, demand, and system optimisation analysis
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated water projects
About You
• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Experience or interest in irrigation and water supply systems
• Strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulics
• Exposure to tools such as HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, WaterGEMS, EPANET or similar
• 12D experience (desirable)
Additional exposure or interest in:
• Water demand management and system optimisation
• Integrated water management
• Digital water, SCADA, DSS, or data analytics
You bring strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to contribute effectively within project teams.
