Job Description
Are you detail-oriented, commercially minded, and confident working autonomously? We are seeking a Contracts and Commercial Specialist based in Sydney, NSW to provide centralised contract and commercial support across our projects in a permanent, Monday to Friday role.
About the Role:
In this role, you will work closely with Project and Operational Teams, focusing on identifying and managing commercial and contractual risk. You will be providing guidance to project teams to support delivery and achieve financial and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide contract and commercial support to Project Managers, with a focus on subcontract administration, compliance and risk management.
- Review and advise on subcontract terms, departures and contractual obligations prior to and post execution.
- Support procurement activities by assisting with contract execution, coordination of securities and alignment with project delivery requirements.
- Assist in the setup of project controls, including cost tracking and progress reports.
- Prepare and submit progress claims, variation notifications, and contractual notifications and responses.
- Liaise with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure coordinated contract management
- Assist the Divisional Manager with monthly project forecasts.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Construction, Contracts, Law or similar (preferred).
- 5-10 years’ experience within a similar role.
- Demonstrated understanding of AS, GC21 (desirable)
- Strong computer software skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with ERP Software’s
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients.
- High attention to detail and data processing accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise a diverse range of tasks.
