Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to the Senior Production Manager or Plant Manager for action.
Fill in on floor if needed to ensure production timelines and KPI’s are achieved.
Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.
Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
Comply with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates. (Food Safety Modernization Act- FSMA, Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
Perform other duties as assigned.
