The Position

Within People & Culture (P&C), People Insights & Technology (PI&T) unleashes exponential people and business impact through data-driven decision-making, actionable insights, and embracing people-centric technology.
 

We are looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our People Insights Area of Practice for a 6 months internship based in Basel, Switzerland, starting August. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Organisational Scientists on applied research and people analytics initiatives. In this role, you will support the team by conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing employee data, uncovering actionable insights, and supporting evidence-based decisions that improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
 

The Opportunity

Literature Review & Knowledge Synthesis

  • Conduct targeted literature searches and synthesize evidence on key topics (e.g., impact of AI on workforce and leadership, employee experience) 

  • Maintain and update shared literature repositories for ongoing team use 
     

Research Design & Execution

  • Support design and execution of research approaches (e.g., surveys, experiments), including identifying validated measurement scales 

  • Contribute to hypothesis generation and assess feasibility of research approaches 
     

Data Analysis & Insights Communication

  • Support the analysis of people data to uncover meaningful insights

  • Summarize and visualize findings for clear stakeholder presentations

     

Who You Are

  • An ambitious Master’s student currently pursuing or having recently completed a degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, HR, or related disciplines (within 12 months of the start date). Alternatively, PhD students currently enrolled in a doctoral program are also encouraged to apply. 

  • You have a solid foundation in research methods (e.g., surveys, experiments, psychometrics) and statistics,developed through academic training, thesis work, or hands-on application; experience with statistical programming (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.

  • You are comfortable working with scientific literature and can critically evaluate and translate research findings into clear, practical insights for a business audience 

  • You are passionate about People & Culture topics (e.g., impact of AI on workforce/leadership; employee experience)

  • You bring strong analytical and critical thinking skills, paired with excellent communication and writing abilities in English

  • You are able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a dynamic environment 

  • You have a genuine eagerness to apply scientific thinking in a real-world business context
