Ceded Reinsurance (Analyst)

Description
Some of the key tasks may include:
- Assist the Ceded Re team with the design and execution of ceded reinsurance programmes, ensuring that they align to the Convex portfolio optimisation and risk management strategy.
- Attend reinsurer meetings and develop relationships with Brokers and Reinsurers, constantly seeking to deepen your understanding of the market and its trends and developments.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Analytics, Legal, Operations.
- Collaborate with the Ceded Re Operations team to ensure smooth and accurate data capture.
- Support the design and implementation of various Ceded Re related tools and projects.
- Prepare submission data packs and post-renewal management information.
- Maintain the system of record and flow of information into internal systems.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Around 2 years of experience in a role involving handling data within the insurance market.
- A well-articulated and evident interest in developing a deep insight into the ceded reinsurance market including understanding of contract wordings and market trends.
- Ability to manipulate large sets of data to generate insights and recommendations
- Robust quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
- Excellent networking and influencing skills with an ability to build meaningful relationships internally and externally.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and written at all levels of seniority
- A keen team player, open to sharing knowledge and looking for ways to improve
- Good negotiation skills.
- Hard working with attention to detail.
