Finning is growing fast—and so are the opportunities!We're hiring a dedicated Field Lubrication Serviceperson for oil and filter changes on all models of Caterpillar equipment per Finning’s Customer Maintenance contracts. The majority of the work will be completed outside at the customer’s site, and be responsible to adhering to both Finning’s and the customers safety policies. In addition, the Field Lube Serviceperson will be maintaining the lube truck oil and filter stock and order parts as needed.
Job Description:
Major Job Functions
- Perform scheduled oil sampling and change fluid filters as per contract agreement.
- Perform maintenance as per machine specific checklists
- Conduct visual machine condition reports, including visual inspection of Product Link components.
- Coordinate ordering parts, maintain, and stock service truck
- Will be fluent in electronic communications and service reporting.
- Must be able to make first customer contact for PM scheduling.
- Environmentally responsible in sensitive work areas.
- During scheduled maintenance, install ‘plug & play’ Product Link “PL542” systems, and register using “CAT Activate”.
Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Dedication to safety
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract, due to safety requirements must be minimum 21 years of age
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
- Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Experience with Lawson, SIS (Service Information System) and warranty systems considered assets
Important Detail:
- This position is on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation based out of our Fort McMurray Town Shop facility

- You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
