Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
To manage café operations as per the SOP, processes & sales transactions through system (POS). The scope involves food & beverage preparation & arrangement, purchasing, dining set-up, selling and provide other Admin supports when required. Providing excellent customer service by putting our Customers First always.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurate processing of all café sales and cashless transactions (credit card & e-wallet) through the POS system.
- Ensure accurate system closing of café sales transactions after business hours. Check for accuracy & rectify the transactions posted to ensure no discrepancy.
- Adhere to organization SOP to ensure food hygiene, safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure housekeeping checks are done daily.
- Ensure accuracy in receiving & coordination with vendors on daily food.
- Management of purchasing receipts and delivery order sign off.
- Ensure café and coffee station are correctly set up at the start & end of each day as per the processes.
- Preparation of hot & cold brewed coffee.
- Preparing of light food & fruits for sale.
- Stock Management - ensuring all food, snack & beverages stock is always available and replenish when required.
- Apply First in First out (FIFO) stock usage method to avoid expiry of products & conduct stock count.
- Purchasing of snacks, can drinks, fruits and food at grocery stores or restaurants
- Coordinate on event ordering and ensure food supplied on time and arrangement as per event requirement.
- Good management of all equipment's & cutlery at café.
- Basic knowledge in back-office task including MS Word & Excel and invoices processing.
- Any other assigned Admin operations tasks including managing office supplies (stationery, pantry supplies etc) when required.
- Involve in process enhancement, sustainability & other assigned department/company initiatives.
What do you need to have for this role?
- Candidate must possess at least SPM.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the F&B or related field is required for this position.
- Barista experience would be an added advantage
- Good personal hygiene and healthy
- Hardworking, a good team player, able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
- Coffee making & latte art skills will be an advantage
- Managing POS & cashless system
- Good customer management & service skills
- Good communications in Bahasa Malaysia & English
- Basic computer skill with knowledge of MS Word & Excel
- Must be willing to work in Menara Maxis, KLCC
