Job Description

- Follow maintenance schedules as outlined by the supervisor.
- Perform general maintenance duties: painting, drywall repair, flooring demo and install, light plumbing work, carpentry and minor electrical repair.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair on the facility and its equipment.
- Replace burned out light bulbs, including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights and resident room call lights.
- Service heating and cooling units as specified by manufacturer, including filter changing, cleaning and oiling (PTAC units and HVAC units).
- Maintain the cleanliness of laundry room machines, including filter cleaning and lint removal.
- Clean return air vents in all buildings annually.
- Keep all fire sprinkler heads, smoke and heat detectors clean and free of spider webs in all buildings.
- Keep mechanical, electrical and all storage rooms clean.
- Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
- Assist during winter with snow removal efforts.
- Will be expected to use an Apple iPhone with wi-fi/data to utilize the WorxHub maintenance software app.
- Clean and maintain equipment and tools.
- High school education or equivalent. Technical Schooling and/or background preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and perform simple arithmetic.
- Experience in general construction including carpentry, painting and/or other trades. Familiarity with a wide variety of construction related tasks and tools and the ability to carry them out under supervision.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Word, email).
- Valid Oregon driver’s license and clean driving record.
