
Sanitation Supervisor
Job Description
Purpose:
Responsible for the bakery’s compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements of Food Safety Regulations, and Sanitation for Klosterman Bakery. The Sanitation is reported to the FSQA Manager
The Sanitation Supervisor will substitute the role of SQF Practitioner in the absence of the FSQA Manager. The SQF Practitioner will lead the development and implementation of SQF and food safety fundamentals.
Summary: The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the Sanitation Department. The Sanitation Supervisor will operate the Sanitation Department with the company goals of safe, quality products achieving the financial goals of Klosterman Baking Company. The Sanitation Supervisor will oversee the cleaning and sanitizing of the building, grounds, and equipment used for processing and producing products. All cleaning and sanitizing will comply with all laws, policies, and food safety regulations. The Sanitation Supervisor must report any food safety issues or concerns to the management team.
Responsibilities: Oversee and supervise all Sanitation operations. Responsibilities will include the following:
• Responsible for all the Sanitation requirements from the Federal, State, Local, Customer, AIB, Quality, and Food Safety regulations.
• Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Sanitation Department
• Ensure following standards SQF, and Food Safety regulations.
• Attend and coordinate monthly HACCP, Security, and Safety Meetings.
• Must be a Preventative Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) certified or Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) trained.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

• Oversee and maintain the development of the SQF Food Safety Manual
• Ensure cleanliness of all equipment, building, and grounds.
• Verify all work is complete on the Master Sanitation Schedule
• Conduct all environmental testing according to standards.
• Manage and train all Sanitation personnel on cleaning procedures.
• The management team will lead by example by demonstrating what is expected of the food safety culture of the establishment.
• Site management shall ensure departments & operations are appropriately staffed & organizationally aligned to meet food safety objectives.
