Job Summary

To receive and distribute stock according to company policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Stock Control and Maintenance:
• Receives incoming shipments according to Company Policy
• Immediately reports any discrepancies to Manager, completing the appropriate paperwork.
• Stores stock in allocated storage area neatly and immediately upon receipt
• Processes stock requests from stores according to company policies
• Delivers stock according to delivery schedule
• Assists associates in lifting or moving stock as necessary
• Carries out inventory checks are required and according to company procedure
• Keeps linen room clean and linen neatly on shelves at all times
• Assist with storeroom inventory when requested
• Housekeeping:
• Keeps room area clean and tidy at all times, with stock, display fixtures and all other equipment stored in designated spaces.
• Security:
• Allows only authorized personnel into storage area
• At all times aware of position of non-housekeeping persons in the area
• Follows correct procedures in the event of fire, bomb scare, etc.
• Reports all incidents of suspected theft or breach of security to Manager
• Recognizes and takes steps to eliminate potential safety hazards e.g. broken glass, wet spots, etc.
• Appearance and Grooming:
• Always in a clean, ironed uniform which conforms to company guidelines
• Personal hygiene is well maintained
• Name badge is always worn
• General appearance meets company standards
• Attendance:
• Reports to work at least 15 minutes before the beginning of shift and ready to work
• Absences are infrequent, accompanied by a doctor’s note and reported to Manager at least 2 hours before the beginning of shift.
• Teamwork:
• Attitude is cheerful, professional and team oriented
• Willing to assist others in designated tasks when necessary
• Communicates with other team members about pertinent information
• Performs any reasonable duty requested by management
• Learning:
• Takes a positive attitude to learning, whether through direct training or constructive criticism
• Participates in training sessions actively and enthusiastically
• Shares knowledge with other team members
• Performs other reasonable duties that may be required management
