Job Summary:**
The Decorator Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal operation of decoration equipment within the manufacturing facility, ensuring high-quality product decoration and minimizing downtime.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on decorating machines, including printers, coaters, and associated conveyor systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on decorating equipment.
* Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machine components, including gears, bearings, cylinders, and motors.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and implement proactive solutions.
* Set up and adjust decorating machinery for various product specifications and changeovers.
* Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance and improve efficiency.
* Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements accurately.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new decorating equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
* Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment with decorating or printing equipment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
* Basic understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
* Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
