About the Opportunity:

Chelsea Piers is looking for experienced, dedicated and passionate Lifeguards to work in our brand-new state of the art facility. Our Lifeguards can expect to receive the necessary tools to be successful in keeping the kids and members who use our pool safe. Lifeguards must be able to provide the best customer service to our Swim School families/members and be able to communicate effectively with parents, care givers, colleagues, and managers. Our Lifeguards must be caring, patient and outside the box thinkers in order to maintain the utmost safe and danger free environment within our aquatic's facility. 

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Effectively maintain the safety of our swim families and members

• Ensure that all proper protocols and safety rules are being followed

• Check our water chemicals and ensure that the water is safe to swim in

• Check our aquatics facility at opening and closing 

• Provide the most professional customer service to our swimmers and families

• Fill out and complete any incident reports

• Provide first aid to any injured member or guests

• Supervise and manage a group of kids and ensure their safety in the water

• Complete In service trainings which require a swim and EAP protocol

• Execute proper surveillance and rescue techniques when needed
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required or until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service
• ARC LG & CPR Certification (other certifications accepted as well)
• Be able to spend multiple hours on your feet 
• Be courteous and professional to all families, members and staff
• Must enjoy working with kids and be extremely patient and understanding 
• Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with parents
