RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Integration & Extract, Transform & Load Pipelines
Design, build, and maintain ETL processes connecting Salesforce, IQVIA, SAP, and additional data sources.
Develop automated, schedule‑based data pipelines with robust error‑handling and alerting mechanisms.
Centralize all locally purchased data assets (e.g., IQVIA) into a single environment
Support the Monthly Business Review (MBR) data pipeline and reporting infrastructure.
Data Cleaning & Quality Assurance
Implement standardized data‑cleaning protocols and validation frameworks.
Identify and resolve data‑quality issues at source or within transformation layers.
Build and maintain data‑quality dashboards and metrics to monitor ongoing data health across all regions.
Salesforce & Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data Management
Maintain accurate account hierarchies and customer master data in Salesforce.
Troubleshoot issues related to Salesforce‑to‑analytics data synchronization.
Ensure data consistency across all Salesforce environments and connected systems.
Account Mapping & Customer Master Data
Maintain and update global account hierarchies and territory mappings.
Develop and enforce standardized account‑naming conventions across regions.
Create and manage account‑to‑cluster mapping tables.
Manage account mergers, divestitures, and organizational structure changes.
Power BI Infrastructure & Optimization
Set up and optimize Power BI data models, using both DirectQuery and Import modes.
Create reusable templates and design standards to support scalable Power BI development.
Monitor and improve query performance across Power BI datasets and semantic models.
AI & Automation Opportunities
Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual data‑processing workload.
Evaluate AI‑enabled features (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) in collaboration with IT to enhance data workflows.
Develop scripts or tools to automate repetitive validation and transformation tasks.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Centralized Data: A complete, documented central data repository with clear schema, data lineage, and a unified data model serving all five clusters; including key indicators such as SoC, market size, and purchased‑data views at regional level (IQVIA).
Power BI & Excel Optimization Report & Toolkit:
A comprehensive audit report outlining optimization opportunities in existing tools.
A refactored toolkit with:
Improved Power BI semantic models
Streamlined Excel workbooks
Documented performance improvements
Overall goal: simplify, standardize, and optimize current analytics tools through better data quality checks and automation.
Account Master Data Management: Standardized global account hierarchy, customer master data, and account mappings across five clusters and 100+ countries. Delivery of updated mappings on a monthly cadence.
Saleforce.com (SLF) Comprehensive Ownership
Full SLF ecosystem package including:
Redesigned Power BI dashboards
End‑to‑end process documentation
Troubleshooting guide
Training materials
Quarterly health‑check reports
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Opportunities: Assessment of AI opportunities within EMBC, leveraging Copilot features or IT‑supported AI solutions. Recommendations and prototypes that demonstrate tangible workflow enhancement.
Monthly Business Review: Prefilled slides with all market insights pulled from Power Bi reports
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Analytics Tools & Platforms
Proficiency in Power BI including advanced DAX measures, calculated tables, and complex data‑modelling formulas.
Strong command of Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and model building.
Working knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, including custom fields, workflows, data models, and data‑quality structures.
Familiarity with IQVIA, SAP, and other data systems commonly used in pharmaceutical and medical device environments.
Soft Skills
Strong problem‑solving mindset with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language.
Collaborative approach to partnering with regional teams, business analysts, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Strong documentation discipline and a process‑oriented working style.
Desirable Skills
Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and automation.
Familiarity with healthcare or pharmaceutical industry data, including market, sales, or customer master datasets.
Very good command of English
