Preparatory work such as the selection and co-ordination of the test beds, motors, couplings, cooling, lube supply and pipework design.
Execution of testing activity, including hydro test, Dynamic balancing of rotor, performance, NPSH testing , and vibration, noise, temperature readings.
Co-ordination of electricians, Instrumentation Engineers, and Fitters required to successfully install the pump and associated equipment and complete the test in a safe and compliant manner.
Liaising with customers and outside Inspectors throughout the testing process.
Preparation and completion of relevant documentation and reports.
Keep a daily record of all tests in progress for the purpose of writing a test report that draws conclusions, gives results, specifications and other important test information. The report should include as much information as possible including materials of construction and test equipment used.
Maintain good daily housekeeping. Maintain the test area at a level that allows for safe testing to proceed. Have test equipment and test stands maintained regularly. Make recommendations for new and replacement equipment and tools.
