Samsung SDS Smart Logistics operates in 40 countries worldwide and employs more than 4,500 logistics experts.We are currently looking for a Site Manager for our location in Magdeburg.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Responsibility
Implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans and derivation of strategic site objectives.
Ensure smooth warehouse operations with a focus on quality, cost, safety, and service.
Responsibility for performance metrics (KPIs), inventory accuracy, stock reliability, and process quality.
Team Leadership & Personnel Management
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, motivated team of approximately 150 employees.
Conduct daily management and status meetings.
Regular workforce planning, annual employee reviews, and coaching.
Process Optimization & Problem Solving
Identify process gaps and develop measures for continuous improvement.
Use standard operating procedures for efficient problem resolution.
Analyze operational trends and derive recommendations for action.
Budget & Cost Management
Monitor departmental budgets and support annual budget planning.
Manage and optimize direct and indirect logistics costs; coordinate with management and external logistics providers.
Communication & Reporting
Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Work closely with our customers, distribution centers, supply chain teams, and carriers to resolve inbound/outbound shipment issues.
Safety Management
Support and further develop occupational safety programs to prevent accidents.
Ensure compliance with legal safety regulations.
Requirements
Degree in logistics, business administration, or equivalent qualification.
At least 10 years of experience in logistics, including a minimum of 3 years in warehouse or site management.
Expertise in KPI management as well as inventory control, accuracy, and consistency.
Experience working with distribution centers, supply chain teams, and carriers.
Ability to prioritize and expedite urgent requests.
Excellent communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken.
Proficient in IT systems, including warehouse or supply chain software.
