  • Full time, fixed term until May 2027

  • Base Salary starting from $89,755 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The School of Medical Sciences is recognised as one of the leading centres for medical science education in the world. With over 100 years of excellence in education, we are proud to be training the next generation of medical scientists who will be leading members of the medical research community with an innovative integrated curriculum. Our team of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.

We are seeking a Program Officer to provide administrative and coordination support across one or more projects. The role involves supporting project delivery, maintaining project documentation and data, engaging with stakeholders, and assisting with financial and reporting activities to ensure projects progress effectively and meet objectives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide administrative support to projects by documenting and updating tasks and assisting with production and control of project materials and reports

  • maintain and manage project data using record management systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality

  • identify and implement administrative improvements to streamline processes and report project issues to management

  • develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • implement effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of project progress

  • provide financial administrative support including preparation of reports, monitoring expenditure and coordinating funding applications

  • undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.

About you

  • bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience

  • experience in project administration and supporting project delivery

  • experience engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders

  • strong skills in organisation and time management, attention to detail, numeracy and computer literacy including microsoft office

  • ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
