
Tutor (Campus, Temporary, Part-Time)

Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma / GED

Experience:
- Teaching and/or tutoring experience desired.
Function
The campus part-time Tutor works directly with students at the assigned campus, and is responsible for teaching, coaching and evaluating skill levels for eligible students served. Duties include scheduling, serving and assessing students during the school day at the assigned campus. Campus Tutors reports directly to the Director or Principal at the assigned campus. Continuation of this position is dependent upon annual funding at the assignme campus.

Reponsibilities:
- Designs and implements learning strategies to improve fundamental or developing skills in reading and math.
- Provides additional reinforcement and practice of skill deficiencies and acquisition in reading and math through one-on-one or, small group instruction using alternative methods and materials/equipment.
- One-on-one or small group tutoring with students who are experiencing difficulty in mastering reading and math concepts.
- Provide personalized assessment-based instruction and more time and practice on identified skills, concepts, and strategies.
- Tracks and charts student progress by reporting achievement and assessment scores.
- Manages documents and files in an organized, orderly manner.
- Cares for and maintains materials and equipment at the assigned facility.
- Communicates effectively with students, teachers, staff/personnel and parents.
- Create and maintain part-time service schedule to meet the needs to eligible students at the campus.
- Demonstrates initiative and follow through in the performance of duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the principal and/or administration.
- Follows District guidelines and procedures and follows rules and regulations of assigned facility.

Salary: $14/hour non-degreed, $25/hour with Bachelors Degree and/or Teacher Certification
