Configuration Management Specialist
Location: On-site in Bradenton, FL
Base Salary Rate: $79,178 - $93,150 per year
Job type: Full-time position
About This Role
This position is for a Configuration Management Specialist for the KGS Edwards brand of commercial fire products. In this role, you’ll work with the New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering teams with the product configuration and change management-related tasks to ensure the accurate and consistent management of a product's configuration throughout its lifecycle, from design to end-of-life. This includes reviewing and evaluating design changes to manage the impact of changes on existing systems, ensuring proper documentation and approval through formal change control processes
Key Responsibilities
Create or update items, such as mechanical parts or bills of materials, in Product lifecycle management tool.
Create or peer review change notices and deviations
Ensure all items being released in Product lifecycle management tool are compliant with company standards.
Train engineers in Product lifecycle management tool processes when requested
Understanding of engineering and manufacturing bill of material structure
Lead the Configuration Management team’s efforts in supporting specific new product development teams projects.
Provide clear and timely status updates to the engineering teams being supported.
Perform moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of experience working with Product Lifecycle Management systems
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment
Attention to details as well as the ability to work independently
Written and verbal communication skills
PDXpert experience
AutoCAD experience
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for maintaining or creating MS Excel macros
