Elyria Catholic High School seeks Substitute Teachers:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Follows lesson plans/manages study halls
- Maintains a neat and orderly classroom
- Ensures that students are supervised and not left unattended in the classroom
- Maintains accurate attendance records
- Keeps students safe and engaged
- Monitors student progress and assists where needed by keeping proximity
- Maintains existing classroom management and discipline procedures
- Understands building and classroom policy and procedures
- Provides written feedback for the classroom teacher
Commitment to the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church and to best practices in Catholic education. Familiarity with the teachings, traditions, and policies, which apply to formation and development of high school-aged youth.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree - any field
- Clean criminal background
- Three (3) positive professional references
- Experience working with school aged students preferred
- Ohio Department of Education Substitute Teacher License, or higher license.
- FBI & BCI Background checks (cost covered by applicant)
- Candidates must also be able to pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Cleveland VIRTUS program.
