Job Description

Greenwich Public Schools seeks a Grades K-12+ teacher of the visually impaired for its 2026 Summer School program.

  • The Elementary Summer School will be located at New Lebanon Elementary School, and the Secondary Summer School will be located at Greenwich High School, from July 6 through August 13, Mondays through Thursdays. Work hours will be determined based on student need and will occur within the summer school days between 7:45-11:15 a.m. An additional preparation day will occur on June 29, 2026.
  • The Grades K-12 teacher of the visually impaired must be certified in Partially Sighted, Grades PreK-12 (#055), or Blind, PreK-12 (#059).
  • Compensation for all hours will be at the individual teacher's hourly per diem rate as based on the Agreement between the Greenwich Board of Education and the Greenwich Education Association.
  • Position is dependent on student enrollment.
  • Preference will be given to Greenwich Public Schools teachers contracted for the 2026-27 school year, and then to other Greenwich Public Schools benefits-eligible employees.
